Hubby's sister, and her entire family lost everything on Sunday 2/17/2008. Prattville, Alabama - Tornado.

Such a sad thing. And I worry about my crap????

Thursday is here, and I'm lost in craziness!

So..... Yeah.. It's been nuts! Just plain crazy! Life has flipped over and over and over for us ever since 2008 arrived. This is my theory. I think all of the bad, negative stuff is happening now, so that the rest of 2008 is happy, cheerful, fun, sweet, sexy, and full of great times and opportunities! We're just weeding through the "crap" now, to get it out of the way.

I can't really get into what's been going on, However - I can say this.. Nobody is physcially hurt, or ill. Thank the good lord above. We are blessed there. We are healthy, and doing well on a physical level. :) Whew... I keep telling myself - things could always be worse.. And, they can!

So, I begin my day with this fun and cheerful song. It comes from the Macbook Air commercial. It's such a cute song, and it really makes me smile. It's bubbly, and happy. :) :) I'm determined to keep a positive attitude, and good, fun music helps!

So far, it's been a HELL OF A YEAR! whew.

Hubby and I are still in search of "Normal". Does anyone know where it might be hiding? :P

Last night when I got home from work, I had 4 dozen roses waiting for me.. Candy, a personalized balloon, a beautiful card... it was so nice. :) my dream guy :) I miss him. I can't wait to see him again. One on One. :) It feels like forever.

Funny... someone you love deeply could be right there beside you, yet it feels like they're a million miles away. We both demand a weekend bonding session. :) It's coming! Can't wait.

We have totally gotten our asses kicked! Still smiling though. :) :) :) :)

While most people find themselves enjoying a long weekend, I'm back to work! :P
It's okay though. I don't mind a bit. I am lucky to have a job .... Especially one that gives me the whole week off (paid) during the Christmas Holiday! And, a job that is willing to pay tuition for both of my Children when it's time for them to go to College!! Here, or at more than 250 other Colleges and Universities! Not bad. I would be foolish to complain!!!!! So, a very happy Monday to you, and a Happy Presidents' Day!

My weekend. I'm still pondering on that subject.... I might have to get back to you on that one! I can say this... It was nice to visit with the kids. And, the time went so fast that I can hardly put a finger on exactly what we did. It's just been very stressful. I would have to say, one of the most stressful times of my life. One of them.. NOT the most.... But, it's up there. I pray for normal - still...

It's in the 60's today. I'm loving that! I don't even mind the rain a bit :)

Right now, I'd be so happy with "normal".

Yesterday was the most ass kicking day I have had in YEARS. I mean that. It started out bad, and got worse and worse.....

By the time my head hit the pillow last night, I just wished that this morning when I woke up, all the mess would be gone.

It's not.

BUT, It's Friday.

And, I'm keeping my chin up, and praying that today is a better day.

He was so nervous. I admit, I think I was even more nervous. But, when our eyes met - I knew. It was the first time in my life I finally knew what falling in love really felt like. It was a feeling I could never describe with words. That is the honest truth. It was the day (well, night) that I believed for the first time in that "Fairy Tale" kind of love.... :)

And, it all happened in a Winn Dixie Parking lot. :)

Reflections....

That was exactly how I felt 9 years ago today.....

It was the day before I met my love.

He is the absolute love of my life.
I took a HUGE chance.

I Like to refer to it more as a leap of faith....
The odds were totally against us. We were just talking about it last night.
We beat those odds. With flying colors.

I am blessed. Had I not taken that leap, I have no idea where I would be today. All I do know, is that because I took that chance, I found my dream man. :)

My heart is full. I think about this, each and every year, during the month of Februaury. Tomorrow, 9 years ago, I was held by the love of my life... for the very first time. :) A moment I will never, ever forget -

It was tough getting up, and getting the day started. The whole family was sleepy thing morning!!!

But, here we are again! Ready to face another week! :)

Today in Review....

Hubby and I slept in a bit this morning - YES, 8:00 a.m is sleeping in for us! :)

We had coffee in bed, along with our postsecret (our usual Sunday morning fun routine)....

Then, we showered and went out for Breakfast. It was nice. As we were leaving the Diner, Mom and Dad were coming in. It was cute. You'd think I was a celebrity the way Mom got excited when she saw me. It was sweet. She never responds to seeing me like that when I walk into her house, or see her on campus at work. lolol!!! :) It was a nice surprise to see them. :)

After our late Breakfast, we decided to go to the Movies. I pretty much had my heart set on "The Bucket List". Wow. Talk about a SAD movie. I was sobbing! It was ultra sad. I felt exhausted when I left the theater. I was emotionally drained. But, I was glad to have gotten the opportunity to see the movie. It was very touching. I must say. We rarely get to the movies, so this was a HUGE treat for me. I'd be happy if we could go to the movies once a month! He can choose, then I can choose... It would be lots of fun.

After the movie, we went to play some pool. I am terrible at it, but my sweetie loves the game, and never really gets to play. I think we played about 3 or 4 games. I lost every single one of them, but I don't care. :) I just like to see him happy, and enjoying himself. Plus, he was awesome about going to see such a sad movie with me. :) I'm sure it wouldn't have been his first choice.

After pool, we went to pick up the kids. And, here we are now.... warm and cozy, at home. It's always wonderful to end the weekend with everyone home, safe and sound. :)

It was a great weekend. Only problem is.... I'm worn out! :) I need some good sleep tonight..... Well, maybe! ;)

In a nutshell:


Friday night- Hopped in the car after work and headed down to Maryland! What a nice time!!!We went to a party at the Diamond Club. It was a lot of fun. I have NEVER gone to a Mardi Gras party. Nope... Not ever!!! This was a lot of fun! Ok... I'm going to brag for a minute.... I WON! (lol) Seriously. I won first place in the "Beads" contest. I collected the most Beads in the club! Yeah...so you think it's no big deal. Well, I would have never thought I would have been the one. I would have figured that any of the 20 something hotties would have taken 1st place! Nope. I won by a landslide! And, it was a cash prize! woohoo (lol) A hundred bucks!!!I more than doubled the amount of the second place winner! So, yes... I am a proud almost 40 year old hottie. I still got it! (lol) And, it was extra nice seeing some faces we haven't seen in awhile, as well as making some new friends. Just fun fun fun!!!


Saturday - Ok... confession #2. I woke up with a slight hangover. I know. I'm rarely seen with a drink. Hardly ever! But, what can I say. I didn't have to drive, and I really needed to just let go, and enjoy myself. So, I had a headache like crazy! But, after some coffee and a couple of tylenol, I was good to go! :)

Hubby and I spent most of the day in Delaware. Just enjoying ourselves. It was awesome!!!! Got home before 10:00 p.m on Saturday night. But, it was a great day, and evening!!!!

Break Out The Beads Guys!!!! Looks Like I'm Headed For A Mardi Gras Party Tomorrow Night!!!!!

Happy Thursday!!!! It's almost that magical day! I certainly don't like to wish any of my time away. And, I say that all the time. But, ever since I started working here at Rider, I DO appreciate my weekends!!! When I was self employeed - it felt like every day was Friday!! Not so much now! lol :) I really do cherish my weekends now!!!! :) :) :) :)

So, looks like I'm working on getting back in the groove here. Getting in touch with old friends. Traveling lots to see them! Keeping my weekend bags packed. Hey, we're not getting any younger!!!! I'm looking forward to our new adventures!!! Plus, Hubby loves my wild side. *Big smile! I'm a pussy cat... but I do have a side that he just cannot tame. It's been hidden away for a while... purrrrrrrrr..... But, look out!!! :) I'm a VERY attentive partner... I have just been slacking in the "Social" department. That hurts, for me. I LOVE socializing!!!! So, I'm climbing out of my shell. :) AGAIN!!!!!! I look forward to posting about my/our adventures. And, I will keep my camera close at hand!!! :)

So, other than that...
We had company last night. Our old Pal Zoran. Poor guy is struggling. Fred cut ties with him for a few months, but then contacted him. We're funny.... It's hard for either one of us to turn our backs on friends in need. Even when and if they Screw us over. Seriously. He and I are both that way. Some people might call us "suckers". I think it's a nice quality we both have. In a sense. We are caring people. We've both been in bad spots, and had no hand to grab - to help pull us out. So, yeah.... we've been there. In many ways. And got through so much, on our own. Wow... I'm rambling again!! wooooohoo!!!!

It's a beautiful, cloudy day! I have open toe shoes on! It's incredible! VERY warm for Februaury!!!! I'm loving it!!!!

Last Night <3

What can I say? I am married to the most spectacular man on earth!!! I just know it!
What a dream!!! My Dream, come true :)

So, I get home. He's outside cooking on the grill. He's so sweet. He made this delicious grilled Chicken dinner for us. It was yummy!

Then... He gave me a foot massage with all the fixin's! Lotion, green alcohol... squeezing, massaging.. the works!!! I loved it!!!!

THEN.. if that wasn't sweet enough - I went to get into my comfy's, and when I came out of the bedroom, there was a pretty Martini that he put together with shaved fruits and stuff.. waiting for me by the couch. Not only did it look good, it tasted delicious. It was perfect!!!! And.. (lol) not kidding... while I sat and sipped on my drink, he was in the kitchen preparing my favorite sugar free cheesecake!!! :) :) :) :) What a love!!!!!!!!!! And, since I know he's a frequent visitor to my blog.. THANK YOU BABY!!!!

What he did after that... we'll just call it "cuddling" *Big smile... Lot's of "cuddling" :) :) Tasty, delicious CUDDLING!!!!

It's so nice. He takes care of me... I take care of him. I can't imagine my life with out him. And, so... here we are - the month of LOVE... I'd like to take a minute to tell you, Frederick Montgomery.. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART <3
