Good Morning. It's Wednesday.

I have had such a busy week. I don't think there's been one moment to spare. It seems like I've just been running and running and running ~ For a minute or two... I am going to sit here, and relax. *ahhhhh......

I feel just like the photo above. I wish I had a quiet place to lay down, and take a nap. A peaceful, snooze.........

I just finished making the FINAL payment on our CRUISE!!! I am so happy! So excited!!! So relieved!! lol

Now - I have to fill up our BIG FAT PIGGY with spending $$$.

BUSY MONTH!!!!!!! And, it's a mystery as to what else might pop up this month! :)

This is a nice morning. The sun is shining, and the weather is beautiful. I am looking forward to a good day.

My Application is IN!

Not that I will get it.... but I have applied for a new job! I have been waiting for this job to be posted for over a month!! I know that a lot of other people might apply for it within the Union, but I still think that I should go for it. SO, I did. Now, it's a waiting game. I look forward to getting an interview! We shall see. It would be a HUGE promotion. A new department, too. I love my office now.... but I know I'm not challenged (at all).
Fingers crossed!! My application IS IN!

I dropped one of my diet coke cans on my walk in - it was spraying everywhere. All I could really do is laugh. I had just gotten through picking up my lunch, that had turned upside down in the back seat of the van. :) A reminder... today is Monday!

We all make a choice when we wake up. Do we want to make the best of it? OR... whine and pout, and make it a gloomy day.. Well, my decision was clear. I was going to have a good day. And, even though it was yucky out, and I have a killer sinus headache... I, Erin Montgomery, will be a happy girl today. So, I turn around, and see the sun shining outside of my office window - and am pleased to be here. I am truly blessed. :)

Yesterday was good. There's something to be said about Sundays. They are bittersweet. Happy that it's still the weekend, yet sad that it's coming to an end. Exciting, because it's one more day to fit in something fun.... yet, miserable... because it's the day to get that dreaded cleaning and laundry done. So, why not do both?!?!? Yeah.... that's what we did. Cleaning, laundry, decorating the Balcony for summer, and yes...... a last run out to enjoy the last bit of weekend. :)

And now.... I sit here quietly. Thinking about the week ahead. Thinking about the days left behind... and wondering how things will fall in to place.

This is where we are today/tonight. :)

I DID stop to do my Weigh in this morning. And I did lose. NOT much..... but it was better than nothing!! I lost .6 lbs. Just over 1/2 lb. *sigh. It's better than nothing.

New plan. I am not setting a goal for this week. I will just do the best that I can.

Kids are away. They are in their Dad's wedding tomorrow. I hope they have a nice time.

Just keeping up with my life..... can't post much though. I have to spend some quality time with my hubby. :)

Hope the weekend is magical. We sure could use it! Had some hard times this week. BUT, we're putting it all behind us, and starting fresh. It's nice. :)

Happy Thursday.

Brooke had her Spring concert last night. It was really nice. As always, I was watching her sing, and wanted to cry. I had to fight the tears back. My little girl is growing up so fast. I wish I could stop time..... It's moving way to fast. The concert was peaceful. And, I was able to visit with Diana. She's marrying my EX this Saturday. I wished her luck. She's going to need it. Nice girl. Oh well....

Today is like my Friday, here at work. I'm looking forward to an extended weekend. Sometimes I think I need it more than ever. Like right now.

Tomorrow I will still weigh in. I'm anxious to see the results. I've been working harder this week. I hope the scale recognizes that. I still have no idea how much I weigh. I don't look. They just mark it on my card, and away it goes. When I reach my goal, I'll know....

It's sunny out, but looks like rain. It's supposed to rain a lot today. I hope it does, maybe it would mean SUN for tomorrow.

Not so much in the mood to blog right now. I'll post more later, maybe.

Happy Wednesday!

Well, besides the fact that it's Wednesday... it's also Administrative Professionals Day! We just went to our annual Breakfast. It was nice. Last year, I won a few prizes... not this time. (lol) However, it was still a very nice time. It's good to get out a little, and see new (And old) faces. Seemed like a big turn out this year. Nice. And, we came back to all sorts of gifts on our desks. We are very fortunate to have such nice bosses. I still find it astounding that the bats "boycott" the breakfast. It's more like a personal smack in the face to our boss. Oh well. Not me, not my problem.

Today is a beautiful day. A million reasons to be grateful. I am.

Brooke's concert is tonight. Spring.. wooohoooo!!! I can't believe she's almost out of Elementary School. My little baby girl. WOW.

I'm feeling good. Physically. Yeah.... looking forward to the weekend. A fun, sexy, playful weekend. I cannot wait!

Good Morning World! Happy Tuesday to you!!!

It's another beautiful day. Sunny, warm, and looking good!

Last night was pleasant. We ran out for a bit. Got some new spring clothes. Nice! My eating right is beginning to pay off. I'm wearing a very cute pair of pants that fit really nice. I am starting to see a difference, too. Best way to tell.... stand naked in front of a mirror. At every angle. lol :) Mirrors (most of the time) don't lie. :)

Okay, this morning, there was a guy on the news (The Morning Show). He was a great guy. He apparently posted a video on "Youtube" offering to be a friend, and talk to anyone that needs someone to talk to. How awesome is that? He really meant it, too. It wasn't some guy, pretending to care. This guy was for real. He was talking about how he believes that everyone needs someone to talk to. And, some people don't have that. So, he offers himself, 24 hours a day. He was even receiving calls while on the show. It was so nice. How many people would really be willing to be there for a complete stranger, to talk, listen... whatever... I believe that he'll make a difference in someones life. YOU never know when someone really needs to talk. And, he might just save a life, or two. It's a good thing. I believe......

Other than that... things are going well. I feel good. I am really looking forward to Friday. :)

Monday - All over again!

Well, here I sit at my desk at work. It's Monday, all over again. Time waits for nobody. It just keeps marching along.

Reflecting on the past couple of days..... What an incredible weekend it was. The weather was simply amazing. The Spring weather brought everyone out. It was just awesome. And people were so nice! I know that it shouldn't come as a surprise when someone is friendly and nice - but the truth is, it does. Most people are so caught up in themselves, they don't take the time to smile, or be kind & friendly to others. However, this weekend was not that way at all. What a nice change! I smile at everyone. Heck, I'll talk to anyone! And, so many people had their happy faces on. It was just the greatest! :) It doesn't cost anything to be nice. So, why not? :)

Happy Monday ~ Today, well, AMAZING! It's expected to be in the 80's again. I love it.

This is going to be a good week. I can feel it. I just feel like a lot of positive things are happening. I'm really happy about life, in general. :)

So, time to get back to work. I'll post more later. I NEED my posting time. This girl has more to say!

Get up - Get get going! It's SUNDAY!

Oh happy day ~ It's Sunday! I've learned something recently, about Sundays.... I wake up before the PostSecret guy! It's okay, it gives me one last chance to look at the secrets, before the new ones arrive. This week, I didn't relate to any of them. Usually, as least one sticks out, so much. Not today. But I still enjoy them. And am glad to know the site.

I hope to return to my blog with pictures to share. We're going for a ride today. On the bike. It's been a long winter, a long time since I've gone. I'm looking forward to it. We're headed for New Hope. Beautiful ride. Rolling hills, gorgeous views of nature. What a great day for it. I'll update later.

Saturday Night ~

** YAWN................

What a LONG day! We got out nice and early this morning. Fred made sure not to make coffee until I got out of the shower. He wanted to be sure I would get up, and get my booty moving! So, I did!!! Although I enjoy taking my time on the weekend... I was as anxious as he, to get out in that gorgeous sunshine. So, off we went. A quick stop at Dunkin Donuts for MORE coffee, and then on to Rice's Flea Market. It was incredible out. Warm air, sunshine, happy faces, good fun! We really enjoyed the fresh air.

After we went to the Flea Market, we drove through New Hope. It's one of the nicest towns in PA. All the little shops were opening up, in hopes that a lot of people would visit today. It's quite the "touristy" town. Also, a huge place for bikers to congregate. Nice, and very cool to visit!

We went to a Bike shop, too. Fred had me try on a different type of helmet. I HATED it. He clipped it on my head, and I suddenly began to panic. He tried to get it off of me as fast as he could. Fred knows that I have a terrible issue with claustrophobia. He didn't want me to panic. When the salesman came back over, Fred told him, that helmet wouldn't work... I hate feeling like that. I wish I could get over it. But, it's just that way. Someday, I will break the feeling. Hey, I've gotten better. I can now ride in most elevators. I may use the stairs at times, but I see that as, "good exercise". :)

So, anyway... we went to the Race Track. It was fun. I honestly enjoyed myself. :) So did he. Afterwards, we went to the Diner. It was past 9:00 p.m. and we hadn't eaten since before noon. It was nice, although the food, not so much. Fred describes Diner food like this: He said it's like going to someones house for Dinner that doesn't know how to cook well. Very well put. Indeed! So, I keep it safe... I had a waffle. :)

Now, it's past Midnight. I snuck out of bed to finish my blog. Did I mention that I had coffee with my waffle? I have a bad case of "I can't sleep" right now. Caffeine may be the culprit!!!

The kids are at their Dad's. They haven't gone in about a month. It's quiet around here tonight.

I hope that anyone who reads this has had an enjoyable weekend, so far. If you're reading this, I thank you - for being interested enough..... to read about me. :) I do tend to get a bit "wordy". However, I need to get it out. I can't help it. It's just who I am.

Sweet dreams. May life give you nothing but pleasure. Be yourself. Put life in high gear, and just enjoy who you are. I am working on that, Daily. It's not always that easy - but I think I'm finally getting the hang of it, again. :)

Okay, here it is! Why do I choose this picture? Well, everywhere I turn, these gorgeous Pink Flowering Trees are everywhere.

I love them! I love this time of year! I am blessed with the ability to see these gorgeous trees! What a sight. So, here you have it. I want to share them with you. This is what I see on my ride to work, and home. Simply, beautiful!

Drum Roll Please!!!! ^..^ The Weigh In

Okay - so maybe 3 pounds was a lot to shoot for. And maybe I shouldn't blame my 10 year old for throwing away all of the new material I was going to use as a guide this past week to lose the weight... (lol)

And maybe the fact that I didn't really exercise....

And, I didn't reach my goal, even once - with my water consumption!

But, I managed to lose 1.6 lbs.

Whew... :) I'll take it! As long as the dreaded scale goes in the right direction (south), I am one happy little camper.

So, there we have it. WEEK ONE complete!

Week 2 goal - 1.6 lbs! (lol) I'll try to make it more attainable ~

Good Morning Beautiful World ~

It's Friday. TGIF!!!!

It's a gorgeous, sunny day. I didn't even have to wear a jacket this morning. THAT is a wonderful thing. Driving in to work, I had my music nice and loud, singing along like there's no tomorrow.... :) It's going to be a good day. I'm only nervous about one thing..... TODAY IS WEIGH IN DAY!!!!!!!!!!! *Gulp. Okay, confession..... I have not been 100% perfect. I did well, but I'm not thinking I did 3 lbs well. lol
We shall see. One day at a time. No biggie. It is, what it is!

I spread some of my happiness and cheer this morning by emailing photo's to the bats of themselves, from University Day. They all complained about how old they looked. My intentions were good. We all got a good laugh over it though. Susie asked me to confirm that the camera DOES add 10 lbs. lol. I told her, for me.... it adds it to the booty! LMAO!

Oh... and this morning. I listened to one of my "oldie" favorite CD's while showering. The best of "Bread". I know... I am such a sappy nerd. However, it was nice. I don't care how nerdy it is of me. IT'S WHO I AM! And it was so refreshing. Brought me back to a very nice, happy place. And, it felt awesome. wooohooo!

Good Subject ~ Laughter

It's contagious. I know it is. It's one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.

When someone is laughing, it makes me smile.
When I hear happiness, I want to be a part of it. I want to laugh along. And, most of the time, I do.

I enjoy making other people laugh. When I am able to do so, I feel so nice, inside. If I can turn a frown into a smile, I'm happy.

Today, I made some of my Co-workers Laugh. It feels good.

Susie came in (one of the most resistant to happy people I know). I made sure I said hello to her, with a friendly smile. She's sad today. She's just gotten back from a funeral. It was only a few weeks ago that she had to bury her son. Today, I want to make her smile. Somehow, I plan on lifting her spirits enough, to bring her a little sunshine. My goal for this afternoon. :)

Laughter.... the best medicine.
I honestly believe that.

Another goal: I will not say anything at all, if I cannot say something nice. :)
