Monday's Thought Provoking Question

Congratulations to my son who finally passed his permit test this weekend. The third time must be the charm. But getting your permit, does this mean you are now a grown up? No.... steps closer maybe.... yes.

I listen. I pay attention... but that doesn't mean I understand. I believe that I'm not meant to right now, and I'm okay with that for today.

Life is full of surprises. I need to remember not to over react, or under react, but to listen with an open mind and a heart full of love.

Teenagers are a rare and unusual breed. I remember it like it was yesterday....and, one thing I know for sure, although I may have been there, done that, I still don't know shit... and, I'm still trying to learn.

And, another thing I know for a fact. I don't have all the answers.

Life is one big fat precious grab bag full of surprises, ups, downs, goods, bads, and gifts. We never really know what's coming next....but we keep on rolling along, hoping for the best.

But one thing that really took me by surprise today:

Time marches on...

Almost 10 years ago, I sat at this very table, in this very spot.. playing checkers with Fred.
Last night, I re-visited, and even sat in my spot for a moment. So much has happened since then, yet the table, chairs, and checkers remain... as though time has stood still...
Oh, I'm the QUEEN of Checkers.. I am not kidding. :)

Fresh start.
Today is a sunny, beautiful day. About to venture out to a local Flea Market. It will actually be really nice to get out there and feel the sun on my face, and breathe the amazing..fresh air.

Just got back from a long, fun, icy ride to some far away town in the Pocono's.... Went to a nice, pretty strip club and enjoyed watching the dancers. It was topped off for me with a sexy, private lap dance. Nice! That was my third official lap dance. She was beautiful and sexy! :)
After that, Jimm and Monica took us in to visit the resort that Fred and I went to on our Honeymoon nearly 10 years ago. It was emotional for me... Sweet. It hasn't changed much at all... It touched me.

Now we're back at the Villa and we're getting ready to eat dinner. I think I might indulge in some of that whipped cream Vodka after we eat. I'm not a drinker but I could use a nice drink.

Having a really difficult time adding a picture to my blog from my phone!!!! Grrrrrr

YAY!!!! I did it! I am posting on my blog from my Blackberry!!!!
So, I'm in the Pocono's for the weekend..and have no internet access, so I just logged on to my blog this way!
I'm still in my Jammies! We went to Mt. Airy Casino last night and didn't get in until 4 a.m.! Zzzzzzzzzz....
The weather is gray and cold and the misty rain is still coming down. Its truly a lazy day :)
Not sure what we're doing later, but now that I can blog from my phone I will post more fun stuff!
Someone just commented on my coffee bean post from 2007! I will have to start putting more fun puzzle like things on here again. I need to be more fun and playful again!
