HASH RUN - CAMP OUT - JULY 2010

This is a picture of me and one of my favorite sexy dominatrix girls :) LOVE her.

Have you ever heard of a "Hash Run"? Well, over the summer I went on my first one, and absolutely LOVED it. It was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had, with a group of amazingly fun people. And, we camped out in a tent which was huge for me. Not because I'm opposed to camping, but just because I haven't done it since I was like 6. :) I didn't sleep a wink, but I still enjoyed being in the environment, and trying it all out.

I admit, the weather was a bit hot (like a million degrees out), and I spent the entire day sweating my ass off.... BUT, that's partially because I didn't do this:

Some of the group decided to hitch a ride on the back of a truck through the car wash..

And.... Here's hubby ((after)) all cooled off (for the moment)

I guess they forgot about the soap, and the hot water wash that shoots out. Apparently they were still a lot cooler than us!

I guess I always could have taken the easy way out at times and taken a free ride like this guy did:

BUT he took a few hard falls out of that shopping cart, and I'm not sure I would have handled it as well as he did :)

And then there was Hollie. I think she got a little overheated. Here she is lying on the street. Thank goodness this town isn't as crowded as the town I live in.

Can you believe he hashed through town like this??? ((most often, a hash run happens in trails of woods)) NOT this one. LOL

John was one of the Hash Hares...
And this is how he was dressed for it:

Each Hash Run has a theme. This was Dominatrix / Submissive - OR Redneck.
FUN STUFF!!!!!!!

I have a ton of pictures from this, but clearly can't post them all. Especially the "Baked Bean wrestling" LOL!

What fun!

AUGUST 2010 CRUISE TO BERMUDA

August 20 something, 2010

I don't really know where the time has gone. I do know that I am seriously going to try to get back on track with keeping up with my life! Since I transferred into my current job (2 1/2 years ago), have 2 fast growing teenagers that need a lot of my attention, buying the new house last year, and every other distraction that's crossed my path, it's been difficult taking those few extra minutes capturing my story in a blog.

Life happens. It's just one of those things. And, again... I am going to TRY to do better. For me. Because I want to.

I look forward to more blogging. I've got a lot to say. :)

Saturday, March 27, 2010

It has been a really hectic week!!! I am so glad that I'm sitting here in my bed right now, not having to get up and rush around to get to work!! As much as I love my job, I sometimes begin to feel totally overwhelmed, and burnt out. I know... I just had a vacation in February. But, right now, February feels like a year ago. The next vacation that I am focusing on is in August. 5 months away..... ugh!!!! I won't be able to go that long. LOL. Going to have to take some long weekends or something.
Well, we are going to visit Jimm, Monica, Cat, and maybe a few others pretty soon. That should be a good time!!!! It's been years since we've seen Cat!
I've been blogging on and off for a few years now. Sometimes I feel like I dig deep, and sometimes I just jot stuff down that I end up looking back at and thinking, "Oh yeah"...
I'm going to try really hard to get back on track with this. I think it's really important to keep track. Not of everything. But, life. You know? It passes so quickly... One day you end up sitting there and thinking about something, and you realize many years have already passed. It's so strange to me.
I don't want to miss moments. I have to pull my camera out like I used to, and keep it with me at all times. I was so good about that. Now I suck at it. Change.... change is coming on. I can feel it. And, quite frankly, it feels really good. Being such a creature of habit, and feeling "safe" is what I'm most comfortable with. I don't need, or even want to feel comfortable right now. I am ready to take on change. :)
A lot to do today. I better close with a smile, and move on to what ever it is I'm supposed to be doing. :)

Happy Saturday. :)

It's Wet... It's Windy.. BUT, It's NOT snowing!!!!!!

What a rainy day!!! Winds, rain, cold air! But I don't mind a bit. I am just so grateful that it's not snow! I think we all have had much more than our share of snow this winter season. We beat all the records. Good Riddance snow... good riddance.
So this morning is perfect for sitting in bed and watching movies! :) AND, we move our clocks tonight. Tomorrow begins 1 more hour of sunshine! I can't wait!!!!

Reflecting back on my week. It was busy. But here's some of the things that made it unique.
Monday was my Birthday. Mom, Dad, Fred, Brandon, Brooke and I had a really nice dinner together. It was a nice evening.

Tuesday. A sunny, beautiful day! Ilyndove and I searched for a restaurant with outdoor seating at lunch time. The only two we found would not allow us to sit outside. Told us it wasn't open yet. SO, we went back to campus, opened the back of my car, and tailgated in the sun for awhile. Lot's of girl talk, then back to work. I love that girl. She is one of my very best friends :)

Wednesday. I went out to lunch with Mary and Steve. It was a great lunch, and we had some good laughs. It was a lot of fun :)

Thursday. I went to lunch with Rudy. He's a nice guy, and I think with a some really good training, he will be a great success in his new position. It was nice getting to know him a little more. He's very young, and has a lot to learn, but he's positive, and enthusiastic, and that goes a long way in our division.

Friday. Great visit with Mary and Meg. I adore these girls. Did I mention how much I love my job, and love the women I work with??? I am so blessed to have these women in my life. I have really grown close to some amazing people over the past two years.

Friday night. After work I met the guys at Freddies for Happy Hour. It was brisk and rainy outside, but once I got there, it was fine. And, the entertainment consisted of two acoustic guitarist singing. They were really good. I enjoyed listening to them a lot. :)

And that about sums up my week. It was rather eventful.

I blog not to live my life out loud for those who come across this page, but rather to be accountable for my life, and to come back to visit what quickly becomes part of my past, and who I am. I'm not here to entertain, however, if I do, I feel flattered that you have visited, and cared enough to read about me, and my life.

And today, Saturday... Let the memories begin. :)

Time to RELAX and enjoy the weekend!

TGIF TGIF!!!!!!!!!!

And I am SO happy!!!!!!

I was driving to work this morning, listening to some fantastic music. And I was thinking. I think best in the morning. Usually on my way to work. For what ever reason, I have a clear mind, and I think.. and think... and think. And all of the sudden it hit me. I had this most amazing idea for a movie. I saw it as clear the day was the other day. LOL
I was so excited about it that I had to txt Fred at the red light. He was very excited too, just feeling the enthusiasm in my txt tone. :) I haven't shared details with him yet, but I hope to get my thoughts together enough to share with him later!
Of course I arrived at the office in the best of moods. I almost couldn't contain myself. Funny. I work in a quiet but awesome office full of great people with a lot of positive energy. Meg, who is a lot like me told me this morning that she was so excited too, for her own reasons. So we found ourselves emailing each other to sort of get it out of our systems. LOL!!!! Then at lunch, Mary, Meg and I got together and just went on and on and on like 3 motor mouths! :)

Life is full of interesting twists and turns. I used to compare my life to a rollercoaster ride.. Now I think it's just a long road with some cuves, hills and sometimes straight shots. It's not way UP and then way DOWN anymore, and I am grateful for that. I look forward to each day like it's a new adventure. And now I have yet ONE more project in my head that I have to get started on. Fun stuff. Let's see where it goes!

Happy Friday.

This weekend: TURN THE CLOCKS FORWARD!!!! Yeah!!! More sunshine to add to our daily lives!

March 11, 2010

I am SO happy that spring is in the air! I am SO excited!
This winter has been the longest winter ever! Well, it’s felt like the longest winter.
I really do have spring fever!!!!! I can’t wait!

This time last year was so hectic. With buying the house, renovations, the illness and death of Fred’s Dad… last spring came and went with no time to enjoy it. And then summer. We had one party, worked and worked, used the pool maybe 3 times, dealt with loss, change, financial stuff… and before we knew it, summer had passed us by!

This year started great. A cruise, with four of our friends. How cool is that? Well, it was really nice, and totally different than our family cruises, but coming home to 3 feet of snow really brought us back to reality. LOL

Spring. I feel you. I can taste it in the air. I smell it. It’s coming, and, it’s a fantastic feeling. I will not take this season for granted. I am going to get out there and make the most of it, especially since I missed it last year. I am really looking forward to doing yard work, planting flowers and plants, and making our house look and feel great.

This weekend we change the clocks. It’s the beginning of the official start of Spring.

I can’t wait.

Mary and Paul Workman. <3

I love these two! They just got married last Saturday, and they were so sweet and precious at their wedding! I wish them the very best! Today, tomorrow and always....

Mary is one of my very best friends. She and I have such a good time together both in and out of the office!!!!
A couple of days before she was married, I took her into NYC. It was so much fun! The highlight of the day was being treated as VIP's at the Martha Stewart Show. What an incredible time we had, thanks to a childhood friend of our family who is Martha's Assistant. It was a very good, fun, and cool experience!!!!!

These posts are not long, but I'm doing it to get moving again on my blogging!~

:)

Me and my Girl!

TGIF TGIF!!!!!

My girlfriend Ilyn has handed over her Condo keys to me for the weekend! So, Fred and I are off to the beach for a weekend of fun and sexy times together! We're so excited to get away to somewhere we love... the beach! We'll be walking on the boardwalk, going to a nice dinner at a great Italian Restaurant around the corner, and maybe hitting a cute bar called "Dog Tooth". And, of course we'll do a quick and fun trip down the shoreline to Atlantic City! We can't forget about that!!!

Thanks to my girlfriend for being so sweet to me. I love having such great friends.... It's all about give and take. :) It's all good. No more one way, one sided friendships for me! :)

Anyway, last day of the week! Boy do I love Fridays!

And, we're about 1/2 way through the work day! YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna be fun!

We used to go all the time!!!! Seriously. It was such an incredible "getaway" for us. The Susquehanna River is beautiful. We stay in a tiny little town along the river. The Motel is mostly frequented by fishermen. It's no 4 star hotel....
BUT, this place holds a special place in our hearts. Room 29. :) And I just booked it for tomorrow and Saturday night!
We need to go. We love the ride. We love the old Antique shops. We love the River, the town, the feeling of being a million miles away, even if we're not. The old Diners with the old stuff.... and the fresh air. :) And, we love room 29. Can't wait!

Today is rainy. It's weird at work too... The crazy bitch that works close by has brought her teenager to work with her today. I'm all for family, and I'm all about loving your kids... BUT, this is a professional office. You can't just bring your teenager in to work so she can "Hang out" and listen to her ipod and stuff while other people are working... I know. I'm sitting here blogging. BUT, I am taking a moment to sit and express myself during my busy, hard at work day. This nutjob is so far out in left field that I am floored every time she pushes the envelope one inch further. It's crazy I tell ya. I can't post details, because I never know who may stumble across my blog.. but I can say.... NUTJOB!
lol @ Self.

I have a lot to do before we hit the road tomorrow. I just can't stop thinking about bonding more with my sweetie pie. 10 1/2 years together. I love this man more now than ever. I am blessed.
Once he told me, "We have no memories together".. this was of course years ago. Now, we have so many that we forget some things. Strange how time works. Strange how fast it flies by.

I'm losing track of my thoughts. I better get back to work for now.

A visit back to the little days.

We are little... sweet, innocent, and pure. And then we grow up.

I get these pictures posted of me on facebook. I love it. But I always end up looking at them later on and I try to grasp the idea that they are really pictures of me. Sometimes they bring memories back to the surface for me. One's that I am sure I'd never have if the picture wasn't there. This one brought a flood of memories to mind. The one posted above. It's me and my brother. I remember Mom's curlers. I remember begging her to put them in my hair. When she did, I was nearly in tears because they were hot (very hot), heavy, and it hurt so bad when she would slide the clip in. Sometimes the clip would dig into my head. BUT, I was okay with that. Somehow I knew that the end result would be worth it (Was it?) But I don't remember that part. I only remember the pain of wearing the curlers. Isn't that funny? I remember Mom telling me that when the dot in the center of the curlers turned black I must not touch them or I would burn myself. Yet, it was just at that moment that she would put them in my hair. Sometimes it would instantly burn my scalp. Sometimes, since my hair was so fine (as it is today) my hair would get in a tangled mess before she was even able to finish wrapping my hair up. And yet, I loved it. I loved wearing those painful, hard things with the spikes in them. I felt like such a little lady. Such a girly girl.
I don't remember the outcome. After all the pain and agony.. lol... I have no idea what my hair ended up looking like. Did I care? I think maybe I didn't.
Was this some sort of prep course for me? Who knew that I would grow up to be just the same.. loving my hair being done, getting girly, pampering myself with pretty stuff....
I like that picture.
I even like my dirty little feet. My little Fred Flinstones.

And, I miss my brother.

The couch? I don't remember that couch at all. It was ugly. But, I'm guessing it was all my parents could afford. And, I bet it was comfortable. I look happy in that picture.

Pure, and innocent.
